I began life modestly, as a single cell, but I was not satisfied with that and set about dividing and multiplying until I became the billions and billions of cells that I am today. I am a self made man.
I was born in Charlotte North Carolina on August the fourth in nineteen sixty five. Since that time I have lived more than eleven thousand six hundred days.
I?ve gone to school for sixteen years, and I?ve learned some things. I have traveled six thousand miles by car with only three hundred dollars. I have paddled a kayak into the ocean at night in winter and I have been an individual in a group of thousands. I stood on the mountain top and I crawled into the cave.
I have seen a glowing worm.
I smelled the flowers and drank from the flowing stream. I have gone too fast and waited too long. I have looked directly at the sun.
I have removed the tag from my mattress.
I have been drunk in a country where I could not speak the language. I have quit a job and followed the Grateful Dead. I have flown above the earth, ridden on a train, skied downhill and walked a very long way.
I have created life without even trying very hard, and I have had a good time.
I have so much still to do.
