Chose 1.51-2.0GB
I actually have 1.5GB as I type, but another 512MB module is on the Fedex truck, and will be installed by evening, bringing me to 2.0GB.
1280 in a 450 Cube
2 of the 512's and one 256, Cube is running GREAT under 10.3.3 !
As long as I'm here, I want to heap praises on Apple. This 3 1/2 year old machine is a real workhorse and can do it all. My PC friends wonder in amazement at this indestructable little computer.
So when are they going to make a G5 Cube?

That sounds sweet. To add to this I am running a PowerMac 9600/200MP with a PowerLogix G4/700 and 640 MB RAM and I as well feel that an 8 year old machine that is now my mainbserver is a GREAT investment.

My two cubes function quite well as well but I don't think I would buy another one. With all of the external devices I have hooked up to this thing it takes up the same desk space as my G4 450 DP. Which seems almost twice as fast under 10.3.4 than either of my Cubes, except at the login window. Strange...

Heh, I think he was joking about your 1.5MB, as stated in your original post. ^_^

D'oh!
640 MB
I got 640 MB in this iBook G4. (128 MB built-in + 512 MB) ... I might replace the 512 stick with a 1 GB stick before the end of the year ... but that's just a maybe.
I don't have much, but my RAM cost more than your RAM neeeeh :P
480MB in an Umax S900 running Panther and an 8500 running Panter with 784MB in it.
Not Enough RAM !?!!!!
I'm originally a PC user but recently purchased a nice G4 Ti PowerBook that kicks arse. It came with 256Mb, so I quickly upgraded to 768Mb. Unfortunately to my amazment that is still not enough.
Not Enough RAM !?!!!!
I've found that, no matter how much RAM you put in a Windows machine, you see little or no improvement in speed. With Macs, additional memory, especially lots of additional memory, the speed increase is significant.
Not Enough RAM !?!!!!
You might be looking at the Apple price for RAM? there are other vendors. |
