Importing Issues
Authored by: Petula on Aug 01, '03 07:33:03PM

Hi

Hi, regarding iPhoto, I just saw that in Jan 02 you wrote:
"There's also no option to import images in alphabetical order. I have 300+ images from a vacation that I had developed with Kodak PhotoCD (I know, I know. I'm never doing that again). When I import them, iPhoto gets some odd ideas about what order they're supposed to go in, and I can't change it. It imports them in order (I can see it doing it), but it won't display them in that order. And because I can't import them into an album (or choose "Manual" from the Edit/Arrange Photos menu), it would take me hours to reorder them properly."

I've just come up against the exact same problem. It happens when I import from a folder on the hard drive (say on the desktop), or from a folder in an external hard drive, or from a CD.
"Apple Care" was no help - merely confirming that this is "normal" behavior for iPhoto.

Did you find a way to get around this, i.e. to preserve the order of imported photos?
