10.5.3 will fix....
Authored by: meitar on Jun 01, '08 09:44:02PM

I'm not sure how this is supposed to work, so I'm not sure if I've done it correctly. I'm running 10.5.3 but doing the $HOME/.launchd.conf "trick" still doesn't seem to work. Observe:

bash-3.2$ echo "umask 077" > ~/.launchd.conf
bash-3.2$ umask
0022
bash-3.2$ exit
exit
Meitar:~ meitar$ su admin
Password:
bash-3.2$ umask
0022

So am I doing something wrong or is it still broken in 10.5.3?

It doesn't work here either.
Nor does the original plan of adding it to .GlobalPreferences
