Disable single-click URL selection in Firefox 3
Authored by: Anonymous on May 28, '08 12:43:48PM
When I click in the URI bar, I rarely want to overtype everything, because I'm usually correcting someone else's error or trying to get to a home page. Currently:
  • first click: interpreted as single click: entire line selected
  • 2nd: double click: word
  • 3rd: triple click: entire line
  • 4th: quadruple click = 2 double clicks: word
  • 5th: pentuple click = 2 double clicks followed by single click: insert cursor without selection
So, to get the desired result with the current misbehaviour, I have to pentuple click. Now I can just single click.

Thank you!
