Tried the original hint, but the pluginreg.dat file is regenerated and overwritten whenever the plugins are registered (either at application startup or when the javascript command to reload plugins is issued).

Tried the method using the QT settings in System Preferences, but the PDF MIME setting checkbox keeps reverting to unchecked for no apparent reason. Either way, I have been completely unable to display PDFs in Camino on my Macbook Pro running in native (vs. Rosetta) mode.

If you are using Camino 2 you can do the following:

1. Download the pdf-plugin version 0.9 from
2. Rename the downloaded file to "" and extract it
3. Copy the file "pdfplugin.plugin" from the extracted folder to ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/

Note: I also tried versions to 1.0.1, but was unable to get them to work.
