Non-US rebates...
Going back a few years in my job experience, I dealt with setting up rebate programs. It's non-trivial, even within the US. Why? Because banks are involved. You have to basically give access to a large amount of money to a third-party (the company administering the rebates). So you have to have good controls in place, and usually a separate bank account that the rebate company has the rights to withdraw funds from, etc. In short, it's a relatively complex process.
Non-US rebates...
Where as I'm happy for you guys the more I think about it the more this is winding me up. Not only have we been made to pay full price for 10.2 and $99 for our mac.com email, now you lot are getting 10.2 for a big discount... if Apple starts offering .Mac for $10 to US customers I'll stop buying American products. Brrrrp, starting with Coke. ;-) |
