10.5: Use shared printers from pre-10.4 Macs

Mine still didn't work with just this. Aggregating all the help I found here's what I did that solved it for me:
  1. Open a terminal ( go to finder, apple+shift+u, then click on the "Terminal" app.)
  2. cupsctl BrowseProtocols=all
  3. cupsctl BrowseRemoteProtocols=cups
  4. sudo vi /etc/cups/cupsd.conf (go here to learn how to use vi, a to start typing, esc when done, ZZ saves and exits )
  5. type your password
  6. Find this section:

    # Enable printer sharing and shared printers.
    Browsing On
    BrowseOrder allow,deny

  7. after this section, add the following line: BrowseAllow all
  8. save and exit
  9. sudo killall -HUP cupsd
  10. Printers should now show up
