Add AirPort Extreme suport via a wireless USB adapter

Unfortunately all D-link adapters, be they some version of PCI or USB do not support Macs.
Seems like finding the Ralink driver may work.
However there is one supported option that is available, it's USB and designed for Macs.
Its made by Newer Technology and sold by Other World Computing.
I'm using it with a D-link DIR-655 gig router, an Ibook G4 (wireless) and a MacPro (wired)

Interestingly it uses the Ralink driver
No problems with having to unplug - plug in dongle on reboot - finds net fine.
Only drawback is that on boot the Ralink utility launches to make a connection and is an open application that needs to be quit from manually.

Newer Tech also makes an companion N router but it doesn't have gig ports.
I bought the D-link router because has gig ports, has a good firewall and many firmware features.
It's also cheaper than t apple router at $125
