Use a super quick Kana syllabary switching shortcut
I was just about to mention the same thing -- using Caps Lock to switch between Romaji and Hiragana is extremely quick and convenient. I suggest setting it to switch to Romaji when Caps Lock is "up" (rather than switching into Hiragana input mode when Caps Lock is "down"). This allows you to switch between various kana input modes, and have it remember which one you had selected when switching back and forth between Japanese and Romaji input modes. You may have to experiment with it a little to appreciate the subtle difference. |
