Merge subtitle tracks into QuickTime movies
Authored by: seanemason on Mar 03, '08 03:40:06AM

I downloaded Perian, and still am not able to open any ".srt" files in Quicktime. I tried highlighting both the movie file and the .srt file and Quicktime says the "file is not a movie file."

Any thoughts or ideas?

Also, I would like to merge 2 video files into one, is there a mac program for this? I have failed to find anything simple/easy.

Have you tried giving the same name to both files (except for the extension of course), for example "myMovie.avi" and the sub file is called "myMovie.srt". Then, place both in the same folder, open the movie file with QuickTime Player, Perian plugin should load the srt file at the same time.

I download a movie in mp4 and sub is the same name as movie but .srt. QT wont show the sub in any ways. Do I have to use something else to play the sub?
