Use new keyboard's function keys to open Safari's Find
Authored by: dandj on Jan 08, '08 02:23:26PM

Am I alone in the universe with these functions working?

I haven't knowingly added these shortcuts to the Keyboard PrefPane and if they are not Safari functions, I am using a number of Safari add-ons, any of which *could* be adding the features I reported:

Inquisitor 3.0 (v49)
AcidSearch 0.7b4
PithHelmet 2..8 (v79)
SafariStand 3.0L15

I can't find any reference to shortcuts to the Find Bar in their documentation, although AcidSearch is a possible candidate. It has a number of experimental features in this version (and strangely, v7b4 no longer appears on the Pozytron.com web site, only via MacUpdate etc).

BTW, Return and Shift-Return also cycle through find items, and the AcidSearch Find-As-You-Type function now works, but only when disabled in its preferences (?). Maybe a conflict with something else?

Sounds like Acid Search is conflicting with SafariStand on that feature--SafariStand takes over when you disable Acid Search. It would probably work the other way around as well.
