One way to use arcs and other odd shapes in iWork
If people are looking for something to do sketches and such - Rita is the best option I've found.
There's a few around, but most are *worse* than Microsoft Paint (Horrible to use, very rigid and hard to draw with). Rita has decent drawing tools (It's actually possible to draw curved lines, unlike most other application I tried, where they would look like a series of 50px straight lines) http://www.frykholm.se/rita.html is it's website - it's effectively free (It's not a 30-day trial or functionally-crippled), and you can pay $20 to register it

I do it this way in Keynote '08. Use "Draw a Shape" and click two points to form a line. Then click on the red circle of one point and drag to stretch to form an arc. Seems easy enough.

Easy enough to make a curve, but much harder to get a perfectly circular arc, hence the other workarounds. |
