BTW, any chance that there will be an Ext3 MacFUSE plugin, to allow read-write access to Linux volumes from Mac OS X (similarly to NTFS)...?

That would be great, also considering that the "Mac OS X Ext2 Filesystem" (last version: 1.4d4 for Tiger; see also on MacUpdate or VersionTracker) doesn't seem to be developed anymore.

For the status of Ext3, check out the Google Code site for MacFUSE. I recall seeing this as coming out at some point (it may already be; I haven't been to the site in a while). I imagine if one were to post in the forum or wiki over there, you would get a pretty fast response.
