Sync Thunderbird and Address Book using Plaxo

Plaxo looks nice (I even paid for the Premium version), however, they restrict the number of address cards sync in Thunderbird to 3000, which is a shame!!! There is no restriction for MacOSX address book or other applications... Very sad... That means I paid for an application I can't even use...

Sync Thunderbird and Address Book using Plaxo

Be glad, and stop using it right away, and make contacts (friends...?) 3,001 and up happy. That is: if really only 3,000 of your contacts have been sent to the Plaxo servers so far.

I really fail to understand why people think Plaxo is nice, while it collects email-addresses (and many other personal details that you have collected for them -- without even saying Thanks to you) of people who've never agreed to their terms, or who've even explicitly indicated they do not like Plaxo.

To me, Plaxo really feels like macosxhints.com would be sharing our account details with some third party. Would we agree to such sharing without being asked? Well, I doubt people ever asked their contacts about sending their details to Plaxo.

Oh, of course, Plaxo says they won't abuse those details (it only took me ages to get rid of their Join Plaxo Now spam) and, of course, their software engineers created something that is totally hack-proof...

So, again: be happy the import, export, whatever, failed and remove their spyware form you computer!
