That is not true. It installs in Leopard by default.

I've done archive-installs on several machines and have not had this problem you described.

YMMV, but I can back up the hint poster's claims. Every upgrade or archive-and-install I've done from Tiger to Leopard has had a hosey (or non-functional) X11. I had done what the hint suggested and it worked on a couple of boxes, but not others.

Since my main two X11 apps were Open Office and Gimp, I've decided to stop beating my head up against the wall and just use NeoOffice and Seashore for the time being.
