10.5: Monitor and disable CPU cores in 10.5
Authored by: Mr.C.Tippins on Dec 08, '07 10:55:58AM

I have a 4 core Mac Pro and messing with this at all totally hoses my machine.
If I turn off even just one core the mouse starts getting laggy/jittery, iTunes music starts skipping, the beach ball starts spinning for all sorts off Apps and a variety of other performance problems spring up.

Guess the Mac Pro wants all of its cores or it gets grumpy.
