10.5: One way to create an opaque menu bar
Authored by: immensewok on Nov 15, '07 11:20:24AM

A word of warning. I'd been having trouble with Mail and Safari not remembering any passwords. After running the 10.5.1 update my .plist hacks were overwritten for Mail but not Safari. Now Mail remembers passwords but Safari still doesn't. After some experimenting it seems that this hack is to blame.

Hiding your menu bars via LSUIPresentationMode 4 will break the link between an app and its keychain. If anyone can reproduce this or maybe come up with a fix I'd like to hear it.
