No Extra Software Needed
Authored by: paulio on Nov 07, '07 05:30:38PM

There is no extra software needed for 10.4 because it already has the proper remote access software installed.

To turn on the Remote Access Server, open up System Preferences. Open the Sharing panel. Turn on Apple Remote Desktop. Click on Access Privileges. Turn on access for at least one user. Check all the check boxes in the top section.

The VNC server is not necessary, but if for some reason you require the VNC server, turn on it's setting below. Be sure to enter a password for the VNC server.

The 10.4 machine should now appear in the Finder's Sharing section on Leopard machines. To connect, click on the machine name then click on Share Screen. Enter the username and password of one of the checked users on the 10.4 machine. Note: do not confuse this with the username and password of a user on the Leopard machine.
