Show all in Spotlight has regressed

Has anyone tried clicking on the "Show all" option in Spotlight's search results? What used to be a useful, intuitively organized results window is now a confusingly disorganized Finder window.

I really can't see the problem. By default it shows in details view, so now you can sort by any criteria you like, including "Kind" which is all you had before.

I used to find the Spotlight window a nightmare - looking at files in a window that wasn't finder made no sense to me, as I expect to use all the finder features in the results list.

The problem with the Finder results window is simple: unlike 10.4, you cannot add columns to the display. All you get is Name, Kind, and Date Modified.

Why is that a problem? Let's say you run a search on files over 100MB on your drive. Spotlight finds them, but ... there's no way to see, sort, or select based on size! The best you can do (and it's lame) is to open an Info window and see each file, one by one.

I've filed this as a bug, and it was marked a duplicate, so I *really* hope they're going to do something about it!
