Use in conjunction w/FruitMenu

If you use Pic2Icon in conjuction w/ FruitMenu, you can create a contextual menu to open a file with Pic2Icon. This is very handy.

p2i Hint

I've been using p2i for a couple months now and I love it. But I got tired of having to open the application, drag my pictures into the well, and then quit. So I gathered all of my pictures that needed icons, put them in a temporary folder, and just dragged the folder onto the unopened p2i application. It automatically started converting my pictures, and then the application quit itself when it was finished.

Just FYI.

Don't forget the customizable tool-bar alternative!

I have Pic2Icon and another do-one-job-and-do-it-well favouite: LineBreak, on my Finder tool-bar, so if I want to create an icon or convert line-endings, I don't need to open that app first, or manipulate multiple Finder windows to do it.

That's one of the things I love about OSX. There are so many ways of achieving the same result, you can use what works for you, and any combination of things that work for you.

cheers
