Has anyone figured out a way to connect to a cisco VPN server using the OS's built in VPN client? I feel like I've tried everything and it always rejects me.

It simply just works for me with the Cisco Concentrator 3000 series at work.
The server needs to be configured to support plain L2TP over IPSec clients, though...
There is also a known issue that clients get kicked out every 45 mins, or so.

Is it because you 1) want to have menu bar access and 2) don't want to enter your password every time? Then use Shimo - it is amazing.

Works great under 10.4 and 10.5 and has growl notifications, too.
