A fix for an odd Thunderbird/Firefox font problem

Are you sure this was caused by *duplicate fonts* and not by custom fonts? Essentially you've just deleted from your font library any TTFs that you've installed.

I've been having this kerning problem and it was pissing me off, but it doesn't happen on all sites, which leads me to suspect that it's just the sites with CSS that asks for a TTF font that isn't interpreted correctly. I suppose that could apply to the CSS asking for a font that was duplicated too, but the first option feels more plausible to me.

A fix for an odd Thunderbird/Firefox font problem

I too am experiencing this problem, but not on all pages.

It manifests itself on Google Search Results with every Bolded word that was part of the search phrase.

It also manifests itself in some form input textboxes. When this occurs, the cursor does not keep up with the words that I'm typing. And deleting moves the cursor backwards, but doesn't fully erase the characters.

I have determined that my problem is has nothing to do with duplicate fonts. I downloaded LinoType FontExplorer X ( http://www.linotype.com/fontexplorerX ) to be sure that I had no font issues, (and there were some that I corrected), but none of them corrected the problems.

By using Web Developer FireFox Extension, I have been able to determine that the problem appears to be a CSS Issue.
