10.5: Quicktime Fix for Flash Content
G5 PPC dual 2GHz - clean erase/install to new empty internal disk - Quicktime 7.2.1 would not display Flash content (got broken-Q (?-Q) gif in place of content). Solved by getting a fresh copy of "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player Enabler.plugin" and "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player.plugin". The "Flash Player Enabler" plugin was missing, the other was for good measure. Repair Permissions, installing new Adobe Flash Player, etc. did not solve issue. Could not downgrade to Quicktime 7.2.0 because there was no 7.2.1 receipt to eliminate, and system refused the 7.2.0 install because it already had 7.2.1 installed.
10.5: Quicktime Fix for Flash Content
Nope, I saw this on Macintel too with my MacBook Pro and C2Mini. And in my case, eliminating the older Rosetta plugins [Director / Flash / old *.xpi plugins].. followed by an install of new[er] stuff from Adobe solved the problem. |
