Poll: How Often Do You Turn Off the Power to Your Internet Connection?

If you are really energy conscious, why not install solar cells? Even if you do not make enough energy to run your house, you could at least offset the trickle of power drawn by always-on devices. If I wasn't renting, I'd do it.

Personally I put my desktop computer in stand-by mode overnight (almost off), and my laptop in sleep mode. But I do see little LEDs all over the room, telling me that this and that are still on. If I weren't so pressed for time, I'd probably take the time to power everything down and turn off the UPS, which I am sure is the biggest power eater in my electronics setup. Problem is, not only does it take a while to boot up and shut down a home network of two computers, but there are these various applications that have to start on each restart, and it's really annoying to wait for it all. Often when I am forced to restart my computer, I leave the room and go do something else, it is so tiring to wait through the process.
