Use Windows XP from Virtual PC with Parall

Here's what I did:

1. Extract Windows XP Professional.vhd.001 from VPC7 Installation CD 1 (Show contents of VPC installer to find this)

2. Copy Windows XP Professional.vhd.002 from VPC7 Installation CD 1

3. Concatenate them to Windows XP Professional.vhd, using Split and Concat, or the cat command.

4. Run Parallels Transporter to move "Single disk" into Parallels. Make bootable (My xp was version 5.1, build 2600, SP2)

5. Open the resulting virtual HD using parallels desktop, and run Windows XP setup, etc.
