How to update Microsoft Office 2004 from a fresh install
That's odd. On all the office 2004 installs I do on our work machines (quite a few, and primarily on Mac Mini's), I always go directly to the 11.3.5 updater I have saved for just such occurrences. The 11.3.0 updater might not work without the previous two, but I've never had any problem going directly to 11.3.5.

I just start updating with 10.3.5 also. Works every time.

I can second this from my own experience. On the download page of the 11.3.5 update it says it updates a plain unupdatet Office 2004.

Yes, this hint should really be changed or removed because it is misleading. The 11.3.5 update page specifically says, "this update includes all the improvements released in all previous Office 2004 updates". So all that's necessary is:

Ditto. This hint is absolutely wrong.

Maybe Microsoft released two versions of Office 2004. The first one was 11.0 and need the two services packs SP1 and SP2 before applying the 11.3.5 update, and after running out all the copies of Office 2004, Microsoft made a second print with Office 2004 version 11.3.0 inside which can be directly updated with 11.3.5. |
