Ease the moving of photos between events in iPhoto '08

Don't be hard on yourself. In my opinion, it's iPhoto & Apple who made a mistake, not you. They foisted a new organization scheme on you without asking. Didn't they bother to look at how users actually use their stinking cameras? I bet most iPhoto users don't set their camera's calendar and clock.

I know I don't :(
I wasn't sure about the whole new Event way but now, this make me want to wait before making the switch to '08...

Dargn, all those photos... Now I need to label/keyword them before switching...

The sad thing is that the Image Capture utility has an option to automatically set the date and time of your camera when you connect it to your computer, but iPhoto doesn't do it (unless it changed in iPhoto'08).

Apple and iPhoto doesn't really force anything with Events, it's a separate kind of organization that runs independent of the albums. So if your Events is a mess, you can just ignore it and continue organizing like the way you did before with albums (and folders containing albums) in iPhoto.

My Events is a little bit of a mess when I first launched iPhoto '08 yesterday, but it's lots cleaner with some quick merging and splitting, and it's rendered most of my albums redundant, but there are certain albums I am certainly keeping, and that's not affected by Events.
