Does iPhoto '08 still have film rolls, too
Authored by: jecwobble on Aug 10, '07 08:36:54AM

I have all my pictures in iPhoto organized into film rolls, which for all intents and purposes to me, are what '08 would call events. Does '08 still have film rolls? Is there a quick way to convert hundreds of film rolls into corresponding events?

Pretty much. I don't use albums at all. What's the point? My photos are a history that film rolls have kept perfectly, especially with the ability to create new rolls and move photos from roll to roll. Now that we have events -- instead of rolls -- there's no difference! My workflow is the same. Plus, there's the added bonus of a special "event" view (different than the library event view) where you have a key photo, and you browse by the whole roll/event rather than a list view with disclosure triangles (really, it's more useful than I make it sound).

I've not looked at books and prints in a while. It's worth your time to look at the new ordering options, such a books (they used to be $50, now they're only $30, with cheaper spiral/paperback options), plus calendars, postcards, etc. Just saying.
