Annoyed with seeing ^M end-of-lines when viewing files with less on Mac OS X, I wrote this simple alias:

alias macless 'tr "\r" "\n" < \!^ |& less'
--

Would be convenient if that capability were an option to "relevant" command-line utilities, like diff.

Install TextWrangler and use twdiff instead. :)
