10.4: How to use VirtualPC's Windows install in Parallels
Authored by: LDC on Jul 15, '07 02:16:46PM

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand how to get this to work. I have a working copy of Virtual PC on my iMac--I have installed parallels 3 and parallels transporter on my Mac Mini. I used superduper to make a backup of the iMac on an external harddrive. I see a file called Windows XP Home which is a 6.98 GB file with the .vpc7 extension. So I brought the external harddrive over to the MacMini and tried to use Parallels transporter and it doesn't work--What am I doing wrong? How do I fix this? I tried your trick of typing in the rest of the file name and that didn't work either.

I'd appreciate any help you could offer--but keep it simplified--Thanks!
