Artist selection change/bug

It used to be that you selection was maintained when you switched from Music to another library or playlist. Now it switches to selecting All if you switch back. I'm finding it rather annoying, and I wonder by what logic they discard my selection, especially if I'm trying to play songs restricted by artist.

This change will drive me nuts!! I practically celebrated when Jobs mentioned how iTunes remembers your view, because I'll often select some things from one playlist, check and see if they're on another playlist, switch back to the selection, select more, etc. It's the only way to make comparisons in a single-window application. Fortunately iTunes still remembers which songs were highlighted, but it ignores what was selected in the Browser columns (Genre/Artist/Album). Grrr ;)

Single window Application? Double-Click on any playlist Icon, and it will open in a new window...

"Single window Application? Double-Click on any playlist Icon, and it will open in a new window..."

Yes; I called it that because it was designed as a single window interface, like iPhoto (which also supports double-clicking to edit a photo in a new window).
