10.4: Recover Drive Mode functionality on Palm devices

Ok, so here's the skinny. I tried CardExport2. It works (after a forced soft reset of the handheld, make sure you do this). It works really well. It's about twice as fast as the Missing Sync, which still works on 10.4.9 (where's the hint warning about upgrading too quickly? 10.4.10 was just out 2 days ago). Plus the ability to use CardExport2 to mount the SD card on any machine is really great. The Missing Sync is a must for replacing Palm Desktop anyway, and it's nice to have the ability to mount the card as a feature. But its need for the application on the machine is a limitation that might not allow you to drop a copy of The Big Lebowski on your buddy's computer after he's so impressed that you carry the whole film on your handheld. CardExport2 really turns your Palm into a stand alone external drive. So, which one? I think both.
