Why go to all this trouble, when you can get the naitive client from anywhere in the
world for free. VNCThing is nice on the Mac OS X client camp. Oh, and OSXvnc sucks.
Use, "Share My Desktop," instead. It is much better and easier to use - just double
click and boom, you're live.

The answer to Why is because I often find myself at locations while travelling where there are browser equipped machines (usually Windows) and software installation is not permitted.

My experience with OSX servers is different from yours - OSXvnc has performed much better for me than Share My Desktop, with no difference in installation/operation difficulty. SMD causes the viewing browser to hang if I resize the browser window, OSXvnc has not produced any viewing difficulties for me.

One development request - is it possible to scale the remote machine screen to fill the local browser window. ala Timbuktu? I use a 19 inch remote monitor and usually end up with 17 inch browser equipped machines. This requires scrolling in the browser window which is slow to deal with compared with the Timbuktu full-screen mode.

Being able to browse my Mac OSX desktop from some remote browser, without needing remote software, is exactly what I have been looking for. Many thanks to the developers.
