Use a Windows Upgrade disc for Boot Camp installs
Authored by: dwpoyner on Jun 19, '07 08:46:49AM

I had an XP disc before SP2 as well and that posed an entirely different problem. I was able to use the external drive hint when I installed, but it still never worked properly because of the SP1 upgrade disc. I had to use a process called "slipstream"ing to make my disc work (Google "slipstream" for more info). I basically made a SP2 upgrade disc. It worked like a charm and now I have XP installed without having to waste money on a full copy of XP (since I already owned the older one).
