How to clean the Mighty Mouse's scroll ball
Authored by: redrag0nn on May 06, '07 09:52:45AM

I just recently (within the past month) bought an intel iMac (I'm absolutely loving it) and it came with a mighty mouse. Now the mighty mouse scroll down stopped working within the month which led me to believe there was a manufacturer defect, as I've been working with Mighty Mice at my job since we upgrading to Intel's last August, and had nary a problem.

I found that the Apple suggested way of cleaning the mighty mouse actually worked (turn upsidedown and rub mighty mouse vigorously with a wet cloth), however it took longer than I'd expected, so if it doesn't work right away, keep going at it for a while.

A good idea to prevent this from happening at all is to make sure your hands are clean before using the mouse, I find this is a habit I need to get into.

Did Sparkfactor Design do the Design for the Apple Mighty Mouse also?

There web site shows they did design on the Apple Pro Mouse versions.
and the Apple wireless mouse.

Not sure how much Sparkfactor Design had to so with the prior mice. Sometimes it takes an army of folks to design products.
