10.4: Use a Bluetooth personal area network (PAN)
Authored by: ishapiro on Apr 08, '07 10:36:34AM

I have a Samsung Blackjack. No problem running Internet sharing, selecting Bluetooth PAN, clicking connect and then selecting Join Network from my MacBook Pro. Unfortunately this does not seem to bring up the network. The Bluetooth icon on the Mac shows the connected symbol, the Internet Sharing application on the Blackjack indicates we are connect.

However, when I look at preferences/network the Bluetooth PAN button is red and if I click on configure I see no IP address has been assigned.

Is there something else I have to do on the Samsung Blackjack to enable DHCP? If not how do I determine a appropriate IP address and DNS server addresses?

Thanks for your help.
