10.4: Avoid the 10.4.9 Eject key activation delay

This hint must only work on the Intel Macs, because on my PPC G5, pressing any combination of Control-Eject brings up an "Are you sure you want to shutdown your computer now?" dialog box.

On the upside, I have now learned what key combo brings up that dialog. There is a delay for the Eject button, but it's short enough that I can live with it.

Nope. I have a Mac Pro, and it does not have the delay at all after installing 10.4.9... Only thing I can think is that maybe it doesn't affect some 3rd-party keyboards? I have a MacAlly ICEkey, and the eject key works instantly.

The hint works as described on my PowerBook G4.
