The joy of Cocoa?
Authored by: nagani on Jun 07, '02 11:50:43PM

I think this might be a general behavior for Cocoa applications. Try this: drag and drop a picture from a site you're browsing in OmniWeb to the dock icon of Photoshop (carbon), GraphicConverter (carbon), Preview (Cocoa), AppleWorks (carbon), BBEdit (carbon)(yes!)... et voila! Now, try that from IE, Netscape, Mozilla or whatever...

(Holding Command-Option down may help for some applications...)

Now, TextEdit and Tex-Edit Plus will not display the picture. WTF:-?

The joy of Cocoa - not?

I'm sorry, this doesn't work from Chimera which is a Cocoa application. So... forget about my assumption on Cocoa apps.

Anyone knows what the developers of iPhoto and OmniWeb did for this cool drag and drop feature to happen?
