Add music to an auto-synced iPod from any Mac
Authored by: joshforman on Mar 06, '07 09:12:01AM

This is what I've always done:
PowerBook
mac mini
iPod Video linked to library on mac mini

If I want to add something from the PowerBook, I'll connect the iPod and set it to sync manually. When I get home, the iPod is still set to Manual, so I won't lose anything by plugging it in.

Typically, the item is already on the mini (part of a podcast) so I don't have to worry about losing it, but I guess I could use Senuti (or other) to copy it over. You could always just store a copy on the iPod in disk mode, though of course that takes up extra room.
