I can't make cmd-opt-dragging work ;(
Authored by: sadyhr on Jan 31, '07 12:39:34AM

Hi
I'm using iPhoto 6.0.5 on OS X Tiger 10.4.8, and when I try your hint about cmd-alt-dragging photos - I just get a "Stop"-sign for my mouse-marker insted of the curly arrow, I would expect when dragging and making and alias of my photos.
Any suggestions?

Did you press Command+Option after you started dragging but before you let go on top of the burn folder? You used Command+Option, not Control+Option, right? It works with iPhoto 6.0.5 and OSX 10.4.8 on a MacBook Pro -- that's what I have.

Oh, I've tried once again. It was the right method I used, BUT - it was with pictures, that have been edited - turned around, changed contrast and the like - and then it wouldn't work. I then tried some pictures, I haven't manipulated in iPhoto, and it then works perfectly making aliases in my new burn folder.
Thanx for your time.

Hi
I'm very sorry to have bothered you. I now know, why I couldn't make the pictures go as aliases to the burn folder. The weren't there at all. The thumbs was in iPhoto; but the originals had vanished from my disk due to some strange behavior.
So the advice works as described.
Thanks.
