Preview is my favorite pal!
I am a web site designer and I am absolutely addicted to using Preview. I use it all day long everyday. It's just faster and more convenient than opening up stuff in Photoshop when you just want to get a look at a file. In OS 9 I used Quicktime's PictureViewer which generally worked better actually. I have sent feedback to Apple about Preview and am glad to hear that a new version is coming with Jaguar (though my problems with it don't seem to be addressed from what I've read).
Preview is my favorite pal!
I use Goldberg instead of Preview. It shows everything Preview does (since I think both just call system Quicktime picture-display routines), and doesn't have the annoying insistence on showing everything at the 'proper' DPI; it shows stuff pixel-for-pixel as a sensible image displayer should.
Images higher than 72 dpi
"Images saved at higher than 72 dpi open up in Preview as their "Actual Size" which means large scans show up as tiny tiny thumbnails."
Images higher than 72 dpi
Did you try checking the "ignore DPI for actual size" checkbox in Preview's preferences? |
