How to make certain video files appear in Front Row
Authored by: simonvx on Jan 26, '07 09:40:37AM

I keep a lot of video files on an external drive, and also on another Mac (old iMac G3 in a closet in the basement! Poor guy), I put aliases in my Movies folder, and if I mount the drives before activating Front Row, I can browse wherever I want. DivX files, Flash movies downloaded from YouTube (using, they all work in Front Row - - as long as they work in QuickTime. For those special formats, I use Flip4Mac WMV Components and Perian, both Free. If someone could find a way to play Real Media .ram and .rmvb in QuickTime, then I could say it's perfect ;-)
