Widgets are cross platform by design. There is no such thing as a PPC or Intel widget.

have installed that cause the translated service to startup whenever I activate dashboard. If I remove those widgets from dashboard, the translated service does not startup when I activate dashboard.

If they were not PPC only, then translated would not startup every time I activate Dashboard.

Not true. Widgets can call native code (e.g. objc). That code might be PPC only.
