10.4: iStat nano - A system information widget

robogobo :

I have an iBook G4 (1.2ghz & 768 MB Ram), I have been using iStat Pro (I prefer it over nano b/c I use it to quick glance at as I'm working throughout the day to figure out if something is hanging, or to check HD space without having to leave my current program (with only a 30 gb hd, that only has a few 100mb free.. I have to check this frequently), and many more uses I have for it throughout the day. In my use of iStat, I've been a user since the early versions, I have not experienced any lag.

To give you an idea, I have the weather, time, calendar, iCal events, address book and iStat Pro widgets running at all times. Software wise I always have Safari (several windows), Firefox, Dreamweaver and iTunes running constantly. Occasionally I fire up an Adobe program to tweak a file.

Thus far I haven't experienced lag. The only bottlenecks I have are my hardware, the cpu, ram and of course nearly full hard drive. The widgets themselves, if I turn them all off I don't see any increase in speed.

i might have rambled a bit, but I hope I gave you an answer that helps :)
