External Antenna For Extreme Base Station Also Works On G5
Authored by: Lee_Adama on Jan 03, '07 01:13:46PM

I don't know if this is "legal" per sey, but I've noticed that my Dr. Bott Omni-Directional antenna for my AirPort Extreme base station not only fits the connector on the outside of my dual G5, but works as well. I never bothered to test the range to see if it improves any because the tower is stationary and I prefer to connect with the Integrated Gigabit port anyway given I have two other computers that also use a gig connection to my gigabit switch.

That's definitely legal. It's a standard antenna port. Unless you're pushing to much wattage you can plug anything you want into it.
