I don't believe so; this is primarily because the G5 towers have a thick metal case. In fact, the newer quad-core G5 towers have a built-in antenna and don't require the old t-shaped add-on.

Many people throw these weird shaped pieces of plastic as unless you read the manual that comes with the G5 you wont know what it is for.

The iMac G5 doesn't have a metal casing that requires an external antenna. Nor does it have an antenna port for either airport or bluetooth. This hint only applies to G5 Towers (actually it probably applies to all the cheese-grater towers).

What about the new Mac Pros?

I don't think it applies to all the cheese grater towers, as I thought the bluetooth and airport antennas were built-in in the new towers, and I see no such ports for the external antennas on the Mac Pro's product page at apple.com (http://www.apple.com/macpro/design.html).
