Use custom laptop fan speeds while booted in Windows

Thank you!

This works! I'm using a MBP C2D 15" 2.33GHz. I was booted into Mac OS X, opened SmcFanControl, set the fans to 6,000rpm (so i could clearly hear them), then closed all apps. I restarted, held down Option, booted into Windows, and volla - I could still clearly hear the fans at high speeds, while in Windows XP.

This is great if you plan on playing games while in Windows XP, to ensure your MacBook Pro stays nice & cool, but also maximum performance.

PS. I also noticed that Apple's minimum fan speed for the C2D MBP's is 2,000rpm, opposed to 1,000rpm for the first series MBP's.
