Use Windows XP from Virtual PC with Boot Camp
Authored by: yoshodi on Dec 03, '06 02:10:20AM

Big problems. I tried to follow the directions for creating the bootable CD. But can it really fit on a CD. I borrowed a friend's PC to do this and CMD prompt did all it had to and stops at the record phase of the program. I thought I could find where the file it created was saved and put it on my USB key (4GB) to burn the CD on my MAC but one of the things I LOVED about PC happened, I couldn't find the bloody file. Where is it? Does it erase the file the error for burning ends the burn process?

Does this fit on a CD? I thought I saw that it said the file was over 2000 MB big which means it will never fit on a CD. What did I do wrong?

Help.

I also noticed as someone mentioned above the CD2 of the Virtual PC CD had a zip file. I unzipped it and this is what I put in the XPPRO files folder. Is that right? Will it find the i386 stuff it needs - is that the only reason to use this zip file because wouldn't I be able to just copy the i386 file from my friend's PC? Where is the XP exe file located?

Sorry for all the questions but I hope someone can help.
