Why not just use the Printer Setup Utility?

Printers->Pool Printers...

That's cooler than the parent hint ;)

Just tried it out. I command-selected two printers and was able to do it.

Yep, Printer Setup Utility has had this feature since Panther (10.3). (In 10.2, you had to use the procedure described in the above hint.) You can also delete pools from within Printer Setup Utility.

Even cooler is that if you enable Printer Sharing, your printer pools will also be shared -- you've just created a multiple-printer print server ;-)
